Choosing Your Online Video Storage

In the past, did you ever have problems knowing where to save your video files without using up all of your storage space? Did you have problems sharing your video files because of this?

Online video storage ceases this issue because you can now place your video files online at no charge. You now don’t need to worry about saving video files on your own and taking up all of your storage space because new server technologies allow you to save them on the web.

Competing websites have a lot to do with this free space that is available. Two well-known websites offer this free space, Yahoo Mail and Google Mail, or Gmail. Because these two websites have contended with one another over the amount of customers, there have been bidding wars over how much free space is given.

Yahoo Mail originally provided their users with 10 Mb of email space. To lure customers to them, Gmail began offering 1 Gb of free space.

Yahoo Mail then tried to recover some of their customers by proposing the same storage amount. Since this time, both sites have provided limitless storage space for email and also their other services.

In internet history, this unrestricted storage availability of both Yahoo and Google are the models of online storage devices. In addition to Yahoo and Google, there are other websites which currently provide free online storage. Online Storage Box is one example.

For someone to store a video online, you will need at least 1 Gb of free space, if not more.  So it is suggested that you use a website that allows limitless storage space.

You may ask, “How do these websites survive without any profit?”  They survive through advertising.  These types of websites earn their money by placing ads on their pages, or from video rights.

There are online video storage websites that allow customers to build their own library of videos, such as stashspace.com. This particular site permits users to simultaneously use the storage space in their own computer, while also linking it to the site.

Another great feature of online video storage websites is that most of them allow customers to also use the site as a back up in case saving or storing on your personal computer becomes an issue. Unfortunately, these types of online video storage websites usually have fees for the storage of videos.
