Creating Your Video With Camtasia
Camtasia is a fantastic, user friendly video screen capture program that many online marketers use all of the time. In fact, it is how all of the videos in this series were made! If you don’t own Camtasia, you can download a copy with a fully-functional free 30 day trial. This should be more than enough time to play around with it and create a few videos of your own:

In part 9, you can see how to use Camtasia to record a video. Basically, all you need to do is use the default settings and record a video that is 640 x 480 in dimension. Then render it to an avi file. See it first-hand here:
